Hi Melanie, The bicycle in the picture was not mine. It was just standing there and I thought it would make a great picture. It is possible to cycle with these pants but you would put a clip on the pants below as they are certainly too wide to comfortably cycle with them 🙂

Hi Valerie, wearing darker pants is just a suggestion for women who want to downplay their hips. That is not a requirement. You can choose to celebrate your hips too! Remember our bodies are beautiful as they are; my suggestions are all optional. So you can wear your white pants any way you like but if you want to be mindful of your pear body shape you can consider wearing a long (sleeveless) vest over them.

Speaking of keeping white pants clean, though, I can’t help but wonder — do you really ride a bicycle in those white palazzo pants? If so, how in the world do you keep your trouser bottoms from getting caught in the chain? Wouldn’t you have to wrap and tie up the flapping bottom on the chain side (which would create intolerable wrinkling)?

You have created some great looks; others l thought were not as successful or maybe too dressed down/casual with some items that are inherently dressy. This is probably because I’m a petite and would prefer not to wear anything that may cut my proportions off. So the wearing pants as a substitute for leggings or hose is a big no for me. I think it would be far better for me to invest in opaque White hose and go for that vintage 60’s youth culture doll look. For instance, in that beautiful colorful, A-line dress would be a good candidate with either a white pump, a Mary Jane, or some other colourful shoe that matches the print… Add a headband, fun dangly earrings. The sixties casual look is very easy to achieve, that’s what l love about it.
